KATHMANDU — The Nepali Embassy in Malaysia on Wednesday helped 18 Nepali migrants in the local Bukit Jalil Campus to return to Nepal.
The Embassy issued a statement in which it has stated that the Nepali nationals were rescued and returned to Nepal. The Embassy purchased the air tickets for the Nepali migrants.
The Nepali diplomatic mission has further stated that Lal Bahadur Tamang — a Nepali sentenced to death penalty in accusation of murdering Malaysian national — has been acquitted and returned to Nepal.
Tamang had been working as a security guard since 2015.Follow @gorkhapost
Landslide pushes Colombian bus into ravine, killing at least 13
BOGOTA — At least 13 people, including a newborn, were killed on Sunday when a landslide pushed a bus into a ravine in southwest Colombia, the disaster relief agency said.
The mountainous highway where the accident occurred winds between the cities of Pasto and Tumaco in Narino province, along the border with Ecuador.
The head of the disaster relief agency for the province told Reuters the landslide sent some 5,000 cubic metres of rock and earth down on to the highway and into the ravine.Follow @gorkhapost
