RATNANAGAR — A woman died in a rhino attack in the premises of Chitwan National Park in the district on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Muna Hamal, 35, of Padampokhari in Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City-27, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
Hamal was collecting green fodder in the area adjacent to the Park when the incident occurred.
Seriously hurt after the attack, she was rushed to the Chitwan Medical College where she breathed her last at 1:35 pm, the police said.
Earlier on May 4, an elderly sustained injuries in a similar incident in Chitwan itself.
PM congratulates Nepali national cricket team
KATHMANDU— Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated Nepali national cricket team for being able to clinch the International T20 series.
PM Oli in a tweet extended best wishes and congratulations saying he was very happy to know Nepal’s win over the UAE by 14 runs in the third match of the series.
Winning T20 series is another landmark success for Nepali cricket, he said, adding, “It is big achievement for Nepal’s cricket. I would like to heartily congratulate entire members of Nepali cricket squad”.
