TANAHUN — Tourists are increasingly attracted to take joys of rafting down the Madi and Seti Rivers. With the onset of tourism season, the influx of tourists for rafting in the rivers is increasing.
Daily 15 to 20 boats are being used to bring the tourists to Gaighat. The distance from the Madi Bridge to Gaighat is 32 kilometres.
Rapid Runner rafting agency guide Bibek Gurung shared that in this season tourists are mainly coming from the US, Japan, England, Finland, India, South Korea, China, UK, Denmark, France and Germany for the rafting.
One Nepali dies another severely injured in Maryland gun shooting
One Nepali had died and another severly injured injured in a gun shooting incident at a drugstore distribution center in Maryland, USA on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Brinda Giri, 41 from Baltimore — originally from Kaski and maternal home in Parbat,Nepal, according to Harry Bhandari,a Democratic candidate for state delegate from District 8 and a teacher with Baltimore City Schools.
Giri, a mother of two had recently moved to the US from Nepal to meet her husband who has been living there for 10 years.
Bhandari,who is a community leader and candidate for state delegate, said that another Nepali Purna Acharya is badly injured in the incident.
Acharya is being treated at a local hospital reads the press release by Police.
The shooting took place at Rite Aid distribution center in Aberdeen, 35 miles North-East from Baltimore. Isnochiya Moajli, 26, a co-worker said bullets were fired at local time 9 PM. The shooter shot others and himself at last.
Police rushed injured Giri to a hospital, where she died.
