KHOTANG — A three-year-old boy died and other sustained basic wounds after a gun kept at their home went off after it tumbled down from its place in Khotang district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Kaushal Rai, son of Ganga Rai, and injured as seven-year-old Rabin Rai of Nunthala – 6 of the district.
Local residents said that Kaushal died on the spot while Rabin sustained injuries on his forehead.
Police said that condition of injured Rabin is out of danger.
DSP Bidyananda Majhi of the District Police Office, Khotang, said that the incident occurred while the two brothers were playing.
Country marking today as Black Day
KATHMANDU- The country is marking today (December 16) as Black Day to protest the disposition of the first democratically elected government by the late former king Mahendra Shah on December 15, 1960.
Mahendra took charge of the state with the help of the then Royal Nepali Army and formulated the Panchayat System by overthrowing the elected government led by B.P. Koirala and dissolving the parliament.
