Three dies in Morang road accidents
URLABARI— Three persons died in separate road accidents in Morang district last night.
Two persons died after a truck (Na 5 Kha 1920) from the opposite direction hit a motorbike (Ko 12 Pa 9682) in Belbari Municipality-4 along the East-West Highway. According to Police Inspector Shiva Kumar Pokharel, motorcyclist Man Kumar Rai, 40, and pillion rider Barna Kumar Rai, 45, of Belbari Municipality-11 died while receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan.
Similarly, a pedestrian was killed after a bus hit him at Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7 along the East-West Highway. Local Bishnu Bhetwal, 50, died after the bus (Na 5 Kha 2141) knocked him down while crossing the road.
Seriously injured in the incident, Bhetwal breathed his last while receiving medical treatment in Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar.

Province-3 announces public holiday on Lhosar
HETAUDA— The Province-3 government has decided to grant public holiday on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar.
Issuing a release on Sunday, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law announced public holiday in the Province-3 on the occasion of 2855th Sonam Lhosar on February 5 (Tuesday).
The Cabinet meeting on January 23 took the decision to announce public holiday on Lhosar. A grant Lhosar celebration is also to be organised in Province-3 which has the majority of Tamang community people.
The celebration is taking place in province headquarters, Herauda, on February 4 and 5.
