NEW DELHI — An air ambulance from Patna crash-landed near the airport in Delhi in the wake of losing both its engine. Seven individuals were onboard the plane.
According to reports, the air ambulance – a chartered flight from Patna to Delhi – crash-landed in a field in Kair village in Jaffarpur Kalan at around 2:45 pm.
The seven-seater C-90 Beechking airplane belonging to Trinamool lawmaker KD Singh’s Alchemist Group was remarkably intact after it landed on a field in Najafgarh in the South West part of the Indian capital.
Reports said the plane was forced to crash land because of an engine failure.
“The aircraft landed 6.0 nautical miles short of IGI Airport. Pilot reported failure of both engines. All seven on board are safe,” the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said in a statement.Follow @gorkhapost
Over 20,000 drivers taken action through CCTV monitoring
KATHMANDU— The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) has effectively launched monitoring of vehicles plying on the road through close circuit (CC) camera in Kathmandu valley.
Traffic Police are keeping a close watch on drivers to check whether they are following the traffic rules or not.
A total of 20,024 drivers of various vehicles faced action based on such monitoring. The police begun this bid since 2073 BS and it has become effective so far, said SSP Basanta Panta of the Traffic Division.
Most of the cases were related to violation of the traffic lane and driving on ‘one way’ roads, he added.
The police are monitoring the traffic activities through 460 close circuit cameras installed at the Division Office, Ranipokhari.Follow @gorkhapost
