KATHMANDU— The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation has brought into effect a simplified form at its subordinating land reform and land revenue offices in 34 districts.
The new forms were introduced to manage inventory of the service seekers at the land revenue office, reduce involvement of middlemen in land transactions and maintain transparency of transactions in this sector.
The enforcement of new form in 34 districts will contribute to make transactions of 60 percent land of the country well-managed.
It has come into effect first from the Land Reforms and Land Revenue Office based in Lalitpur district.Follow @gorkhapost
15-year-old drowns in Koshi River
SAPTARI- A boy drowned in the Koshi River while taking a bath today at Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-5 in Saptari.
Abinash Yadav, 15, the son of Jayanand Yadav, of Bhokraha-3, Sunsari who had been at his maternal uncle’s home to celebrate the Dashain died in the incident.
The incident site lies in a distance of half an hour walk from his maternal uncle’s home at Dalawa of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-14.
Though his cousin and aunt were together with him at the time of tragedy, their attempts to save him became unsuccessful, the family members said.
Following the tragedy, the child’s maternal aunt Pinki Yadav and grandmother Dhaneshwori fainted and are being treated at the Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Zonal Hospital in an unconscious condition.
Meanwhile, the body of a woman around 65 years of age was found stuck between the entrance number 51 and 52 of the Koshi barrage, the area police office, Kanchanrup said. The body is yet to be identified and it has been kept at the Zonal Hospital.
