SAFF U-15 Championship final: India defeat Nepal 2-1

KATHMANDU — India has defeat Nepal 2-1 in the final of the Saff U-15 Football Championship at Anfa Complex in Satdobato on Sunday.

Although, Nepal had taken a first half lead through Birjesh Kumar Chaudhary’s penalty after Ranjan Pun was brought inside the box on 41st minute, Nepal looked poor in their defending and defenders leading to lose against rival India.

The lead could not be maintained in the second half as Lalrokima of India scored the equalizer in the 59th minute. Then Indian captain Bikram Pratap Singh scored the decisive goal in the 75th minute making it 2-1 for the visiting side and won the match.

Nepal looked to get back into the game but were let down by their poor possession on the ball.

India had defeated Nepal by the same scoreline in the group stage clash too.
