Property worth millions gutted in Dadeldhura fire

DADELDHURA — Property worth millions of rupees was lessened to rubble when a fire destroyed two shops and two houses in Baghkhor, the district headquarters of Dadeldhura, on Friday.

Local people and security faculty are fighting to douse the fire.

At least 8 persons were injured while trying to extinguish the fire that erupted from the cooking gas leakage, according to police.

Among the injured, three are security personnel and two are local people, said police. They are receiving treatment at the Dadeldhura Sub-Regional Hospital, police informed.

The fire has completely destroyed Kailpal cotton factory, Manisha grocery shop and two houses this morning, police said.

Mid-Hill highway opens door of prosperity: Minister Adhikari





GALKOT- Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari has said that the Mid-Hill highway had opened the door of prosperity.

He added that the highway was easing the transportation service of the hilly people.

Inaugurating the Badigad Festival and Nwagi Fair-2075 BS here in Baglung district on Saturday, Minister Adhikari stressed on preserving and promoting the domestic cultures to strengthen the nationality and create harmony among the people.

The festival organizer committee coordinator Tika Paija shared that the festival was organized to preserve domestic culture and promote local tourism.
The festival will run until November 25.
