KATHMANDU— Nepal and Bangladesh are facing each other in the third game of the Olympic Women Football’s Asian qualifier today.
The match is taking place at 2:15 pm Nepali time at the Thunuwa stadium based in Yangon, Myanmar, All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) stated.
Today’s game is crucial for Nepal as it will decide whether Nepal qualifies for the second round football journey under this tournament or not.
Nepal was tied 1-1 with India in the first game and with Myanmar in the second game.
Myanmar, which has four points, is in the first position and India with four points is in the second place of the tally. Bangladesh, which has not earned any points, is in the last position.
The game between India and Myanmar also holds significance for Nepal. The two countries are meeting in the second game today.
No matter whatever the result of the game between India and Myanmar, Nepal would enter the second leg if it is able to defeat Bangladesh in today’s match.

Martyrs Memorial ‘A’ Division League Football: Army beats Brigade Boys
KATHMANDU- The departmental team, Nepal Army, beat the Brigade Boys Club in the first match of the seventh round games played today under the Martyrs Memorial ‘A’ Division League Football Championship.
The match was held at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) complex in Lalitpur.
Army edged Brigade Boys, one goal to nil. Tanka Basnet became the star player for the Army as the lone goal he converted Santosh Budhathoki’s pass ball into a goal through a header in the 67th minute which sealed the fate of the match.
Army’s Tek Bahadur Budhathoki was declared the Man of the Match. The Army is in the fourth position in the points table. It has 17 points from seven games. Brigade Boys is in the 11th place with four points from seven games.Follow @gorkhapost
