KATHMANDU — The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has signed grant agreement with 100,272 house owners for the reconstruction of quake damaged houses.
According to the NRA, grant agreement was signed among house owners of 11 most-quake hit districts out of KTM valley and VDC secretaries.
The agreement was signed with 17,667 house owners of Gorkha, 4,824 of Dhading, 1,588 of Nuwakot, 1,100 of Rasuwa and 6,660 of Sindhupalchowk districts till June 14, according to Central Project Implementation Unit of the Federal Affairs and Local Development Ministry.
Similarly, the agreement was signed with 1,475 house owners of Kavre, 16,200 of Dolakha abd 35,380 of Ramechhap districts.
According to the NRA, the agreement was also signed with 14,202 house owners of Okhaldhunga, 1,100 of Sindhuli and 75 of Makawanpur districts.
Nirmala Panta’s murder accused held after 24 days
KANCHANPUR — Police in Kanchanpur have made public an accused arrested in connection with the murder of 13-year-old Nirmala Panta of Kanchanpur’s Bhimdatta Municipality.
Dilip Singh Bista, 41, of Baghphanta, Bhimdatta Municipality was made public at a press conference at the DPO. Bista was arrested on Saturday,according to the District Police Office Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Bahadur Sethi.
Nirmala was found dead in a sugarcane field on July 27, a day after she had gone to her friend’s home to get a notebook.
Bista,who was released from prison last year after serving nine years for murdering his brother-in-law Narayansingh Thapa, works as a daily-wage labourer.
According to Bista’s statement to police, he helped Nirmala fix her bicycle chain before raping and killing her on July 26. He told police that killed her to avoid being arrested again.Follow @gorkhapost
