KATHMANDU — General Secretary of the Nepali Congress Dr. Shashanka Koirala has been admitted to Chabahil-based Om hospital on Wednesday.
The 58-year-old leader was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit after suffering form abdominal discomfort and respiratory problems.
Koirala had vomited several times last night and his blood pressure was 110/70 and saturation peripheral oxygen recorded 98%, according the statement released by OM Hospital.
A team of 15 doctors is involved in the treatment of the medical doctor-turned political leader’s treatment.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and Nepali Congress senior leaders, including party’s President Sher Bahadur Deuba, visited the hospital to acquire information about Koirala’s condition this morning.
It has been learnt that, NC President Deuba proposed Koirala be flown to New Delhi in an air ambulance. Doctors, however, declined Deuba’s proposal saying that Koirala’s health condition was not stable enough for him to be flown to Delhi.
PM congratulates Nepali national cricket team
KATHMANDU— Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated Nepali national cricket team for being able to clinch the International T20 series.
PM Oli in a tweet extended best wishes and congratulations saying he was very happy to know Nepal’s win over the UAE by 14 runs in the third match of the series.
Winning T20 series is another landmark success for Nepali cricket, he said, adding, “It is big achievement for Nepal’s cricket. I would like to heartily congratulate entire members of Nepali cricket squad”.
