CHITWAN — The Narayagadh-Mugling road has been obstructed due to a landslide at Ghumaune in ward no. 29 of Bharatpur metropolis.
The landslide occurred at 6:00 in the morning today, while incessant rainfall continues, local traffic police chief Bed Prasad Gautam said. It will take some hours before the road resumes for traffic.
Overnight rain led to the mudslide in the newly expanded section of the road. As a result, passengers have been stranded on the road, with vehicles heading to Kathmandu and Pokhara from Chitwan and vice-versa stopped on the way.
Traffic had been halted for five hours due to a landslide at the same location on last Thursday.
