KATHMANDU — Miss Nepal Nikita Chandak has secured her place in the list of Top-40 of Miss World 2017 after wining the ‘Head-to-Head Challenge’ of ongoing Miss World 2017 in Sanya, China.
Miss Chandak, who won the challenge, was included in Group-3 of the challenge along with Belgium, Cameroon, Guinea, Madagascar and Chile.
In the head to head challenge the participants introduced themselves with there introduction video and they were asked the final question if “We are destroying the planet or it is a media myth?”
Giving the clear answer to the question, she said how there are two sides of everything and how humanity has advanced of technology and development while mentioning that the development and technology on the other hand has been destroying the environment causing natural disasters, climate change and pollution.
The winner of the challenge was announced on Sunday and Nikita bagged the winning position along with Argentina, France,Italy, Colombia, Bangladesh, Macau China and Mongolia from the groups 1,2,4,5,6,7, and 8.
“I am really delighted to learn about my entry in Top-40”, Miss Chandak wrote in an official Facebook page of Miss World Nepal.
Chandak is also contesting in different categories including Top Model, Best in Talent, Beauty with Purpose and Miss Multimedia among others, representing Nepal.
The participants will be evaluated under various categories as per their knowledge and potentiality along with beauty. Online voting has been launched for the Miss World Multimedia title.
The final round of the Miss World 2017 is scheduled for November 18 in Sanya, China. Total 119 ladies are representing their countries in the 67th edition of the pageant.Follow @gorkhapost
