KATHMANDU — A leopard entered a private house in Kuleshwor of Kathmandu on Wednesday, creating a panic to local people.
According to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati, the leopard had entered into the house of Chhetra Bahadur Shrestha at around 8:30 am this morning.
Nepal Police, officials and veterinarians from Central Zoo have reached Kuleshwor to take the leopard under control but being unable as the said to be hiding inside the compound of the house .
A team of policemen have also been deployed at the location under the command of Police Inspector, Deepak Khadka, said police.
Earlier, two leopards were spotted in Kirtipur and Baneshwor residential area as well.Follow @gorkhapost
Mid-Hill highway opens door of prosperity: Minister Adhikari
GALKOT- Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari has said that the Mid-Hill highway had opened the door of prosperity.
He added that the highway was easing the transportation service of the hilly people.
Inaugurating the Badigad Festival and Nwagi Fair-2075 BS here in Baglung district on Saturday, Minister Adhikari stressed on preserving and promoting the domestic cultures to strengthen the nationality and create harmony among the people.
The festival organizer committee coordinator Tika Paija shared that the festival was organized to preserve domestic culture and promote local tourism.
The festival will run until November 25.
