BUTWAL — A landslide triggered by incessant rainfall since yesterday night near Siddhababa, Palpa along the Siddhartha highway has blocked transportation from early Friday morning hours.
According to Western Regional Traffic Police Office, Butwal, they are with help of local people trying to remove the landslide debris.
The obstruction has created a long line of vehicles en route to Kathmandu, Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Syangja, Baglung and Pokhara and vice versa.Follow @gorkhapost
NA chair stresses on quality and vocational education
KATHMANDU- Chairman of National Assembly (NA) Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has said that the vocational and quality education were the first priority of the state.
Inaugurating the golden jubilee programme of Pashupati Secondary School of Modi Rural Municipality today, NA chair Timilsina said that technical and quality based education were the foundation of the prosperity of the nation.
On another note, he shared that 339 existing laws will be amended until March 5 and 124 new laws will be enacted.
Similarly, Gandaki Province Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Minister Bikas Lamsal said that the provincial government was urging federal government to declare Pokhara as tourism capital.
Speaking in the same programme, Pakistani ambassador to Nepal Mazhar Javed said that age old ties between Nepal and Pakistan will be further strengthened and partnership would be fostered in the education sector as well.Follow @gorkhapost
