Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal on Wednesday said it has decided to join in the present government led by CPN-UML chair KP Sharma Ol.
This is the first time in Nepal’s history when that the party has decided to join any government.
The party has stressed over the need of national solidarity to work against the political interference by India and that the party decided to take part in the government for the same.
The Central Secretariat Meeting held on October 17 presided by Chitra Bahadur KC decided to this effect, the party said in a statement.
Besides this, the party has praised the government stand on Indian blockade. ‘The party applauds the stand the government of Nepal has taken regarding the unofficial blockade imposed by India’, reads the statement.Follow @gorkhapost
Japanese PM Shinzo Abe congratulates President Bhandari
KATHMANDU — Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has offered congratulations to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on her re-assumption of office as the head-of-nation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
In his message, Prime Minister Abe said that he looks forward to actively cooperating with President Bhandari to further strengthen the long-standing friendly relation between Japan and Nepal.
He also said that Japan welcomes the solid progress Nepal is making in strengthening democracy following the elections to the Federal Parliament and Provincial Assemblies under the new constitution.
He assured that Japan would continue to strongly support Nepal’s efforts to consolidate democracy and to ‘build back better’ from the disastrous outcomes of the earthquake.Follow @gorkhapost
