Govt would rule till the next general election: PM Oli

KATHMANDU – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the incumbent government would rule till the next general election to be held within two years.

Speaking at a function organised by the All Nepal Peasants’ Federation, subsidiary to his CPN-UML party, in the Capital today, Oli further said that he would step down only after handing over the government to the new leadership elected from the next Parliament election.

Claiming that the government made significant achievements in terms of protection of national independence, economic development and international relationships so far, he said the government would soon formulate a plan of action to hold the general election within two years.

Other senior leaders of the party were also present at the function.

‘C’ Division League Football tournament set for February

KATHMANDU— The Martyrs Memorial ‘C’ Division League Football Championship is set to take place in the third week of February 2019.

On Thursday the meeting held between the representatives of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and ‘C’ Division clubs at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur set the date for the tournament, shared ANFA Spokesperson Kiran Rai.

League Director Sanjeeb Mishra said, “The ANFA and Club’s representatives have agreed to conduct the competition in the final week of February (second week of Falgun). We will finalize the specific date for the tournament in near future”.

Eleven ‘C’ Division clubs will take part in the Division League.
