Dry landslide buries two trucks in Muglin-Nayarangadh road section, obstructs vehicular movement

CHITWAN — Tow trucks have been buried and the vehicular movement has been blocked because of a dry landslide at Kali Khola along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section from Thursday night.

The landslide that occurred at around 9:00 pm at Chandi Bhanjhayang VDC-6 of Kali Khola has buried two trucks heading towards Bharatapur and halted the traffic movement, according to District Police Office, Chitwan.

The blocked area is 3 km far from Narayanghat. No human causalities have happened, educated police.

The passengers of buses and trucks among others have been stranded on the road due to the obstruction. The vehicles are lining in a queue from Ramnagar to Pulchok and Mugling to Kurintar.

Three arrested with tiger hides





KATHMANDU- The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on Tuesday arrested three persons in possession of tiger hides.

The CIB said that Man Bahadur Tamang of Shailung Rural Municipality in Dolakha; Lokmaya Gurung of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality in Gorkha district and Amar Singh of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality in Saptari district were arrested from Budhanilkantha in the capital city acting on a tip off about their involvement in smuggling of animals’ hides and skeleton.

All three have been sent to the Division Forests Office, Kathmandu for further actions. According to the Superintendent of Police Sudip Giri, the alleged would be booked as per the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1973 and CITES Convention, 1975.
