Deuba urges to vote for the democratic candidates

TANAHUN — Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the general public to vote for the democratic candidates in the election.

Speaking at the election assembly organised at Bhanu Municipality-12 in Tanahu by the Nepali Congress on Tuesday, Deuba, wo is also the President of Nepali Congress, said: “Only democracy is good for the nation and that’s why I urge the people to vote for the democratic candidates in the election.”

He even asked people to determine the country’s ruling system — dictatorship or democracy saying all it’s on the hand of the people.

Accusing the leftist alliance of intending to impose totalitarianism in the country, he called on the people to stand against such attempt.

Also speaking on the occasion, NC senior leader Ramchandra Poudel urged voters to make the democratic candidates victorious for the nation’s ‘development’ ‘protection’ of democracy.

The second phase of elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies is taking place in 45 districts on December 7.

Advance booking open for Dashin

Kathmandu—Finally, Federation of Nepalese National transportation Entrepreneurs Association agrees to open pre-booking for Dashin after the government decided to increase public transport fares by 10 percent.

The federation was demanding to unfreeze their bank accounts and adjust the fares in view of rising fuel prices.

On Saturday after the agreement between the government and federation, the transportation entrepreneurs opened advance booking.  Most of the counters set up banners announcing pre-booking for Dashin and many people were in que to book the ticket in advance.
