Death toll reaches two in Chitwan road accident

CHITWAN — The death toll in the road accident that occurred in Phisling of Darechok-9 in Chitwan district on Sunday has reached two.

The deceased has been identified as Gangaman Gurung (78) and Aash Bahadur Gurung of Kawasati Municipality-13 in Nawalparasi district.

The District Police Office, Chitwan, said that injured Gurung died last night while undergoing treatment.

Earlier, Ganga Man Gurung, 78, of Kawasoti-13 was killed in the accident.

The Chitwan police said that condition of four other injured persons is learnt to be critical and they are being treated in Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur.

District Police Office Chitwan’s Chief Superintendent of Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar said that the accident occurred when a microbus ( Na 1 Ja 50000) bound for the capital city hit a bus ( Lu 1 Kha 8725) coming from the opposition direction in course of attempting to overtake a truck ( Na 4 Kha 9871). The microbus was hit by the truck too, the police said.

Two died and eight injured in accident

KATHMANDU—Today morning, Two died and eight injured when the microbus (Ba 3 Kha 4042) and minibus (Lu 1 Kha 4194)   collided each other in Myagade Rural Municipality-4 of Tanahu district.

Police has identified the deceased as Chija Kumari Batas of 50 and Saraswati Kunawar of 35.

The injured passengers of Microbus are identified as microbus driver Tul Bahadur BK, Sabila Khan Namuk Miya, Chandra Bhandari, Bindu Maya Thapa, Kamala Sura and Satyakala Neupane.

The cause of the accident is not identified yet.
