KATHMANDU — Coolpad smartphone has officially entered into Nepali market with its a lineup of four models — the Coolpad Cool 1, Note 3S, Mega 3 and Mega 2.5D.
Jaima Intercontinental Private Limited, the sole authorized distributor and marketeer of the product, launched the product in Nepal.
James Du, CEO of Coolpad Global, and Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of Jaima Intercontinental, the sole authorised distributor of Coolpad smartphones for Nepal, jointly launched Coolpad’s flagship model Cool 1 and other three models amid an event on Monday.
“Coolpad always seeks to introduce technologically advanced yet easy to use products. We have high hopes that the Coolpad Cool 1 will perform well in the Nepali smartphone market,” Du said.
“We have joined hands with Jaima International and are confident that this partnership will help us in offering quality products to Nepali customers.”
Established in 1993 and has been a popular name in the global market, Coolpad is a global smartphone company based in China.It was a pioneer in the development of Dual mode and Dual Standby Handset devices.
Their newly launched product, the Coolpad Cool 1, is the first phone in Nepal to have a 13+13 dual rear camera setup, said the company in a statement.
The rear camera in the Cool 1 has 13-megapixel sensors with an f/2.0 aperture and a dual-tone LED flash. One sensor in the camera handles colour while the other takes care of depth, detail and brightness.
Priced at Rs 30,996, the Cool 1 comes with some high-end specifications like 5.5-inch 1080p display with gorilla glass 3 protection. It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with EUI 5.6. A 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor runs the show. It has 4GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU.Follow @gorkhapost
7 injured in Dhading truck-microbus collision
DHADING — Seven passengers were injured after a microbus and a truck collided head-on at Baireni in Galchhi rural municipality-6, Dhading on Thursday morning.
The cement loaded truck(Na 5 Kha 7386) en route to Kathmandu from Gajuri collided with the microbus(Ga 1 Kha 2966) coming from Pokhara from Kathmandu.
Driver of microbus along with other six have sustained injuries. Other injured are Ramendra Bishwokarma and Purna Kumari Gurung of Syangja, Aasha Gurung, Aarapi Gurung and Bibek Poudel of Kathmandu, Anju Chaudhary of Kaski and Suman Gurung of Lamjung, according to Area Police Office, Gajuri.Follow @gorkhapost
