Chinese farmer finds whole egg inside egg

QINHUANGDAO, CHINA — A Chinese farmer cracked open an unusually large chicken’s egg to discover its bizarre contents — a second fully-formed egg inside it.

The Qinhuangdao farmer said one of his chickens recently laid a pair of huge eggs and he decided to crack one of them on camera to determine its contents.

The video shows farmer cracks the large egg to reveal a yolk, the egg white and a second fully-formed egg.

“I’ve never seen an egg within another egg in more than 60 years of farming,” he told CCTV News.

Experts said the phenomenon occurs when a second egg begins to form inside the chicken while her body is already in the process of producing an egg.

The unusual occurrence is called a counter-peristalsis contraction.

While the instance is extremely rare, it’s caused when the hen is in the process of forming an egg in her oviduct and another oocyte – the ovum or egg cell that becomes the yolk of the egg – is released too soon.

According to Back Yard Poultry Mag, a hen releases an oocyte from her left ovary into her oviduct every 18 to 26 hours.

Usually, the oocyte travels down the oviduct, adding layers of the egg until it’s laid through the hen’s vent.

But in a counter-peristalsis contraction, a second oocyte is released by the ovary before the first egg has completed its journey.

When the second oocyte’s released, the first is in the eggshell-gland portion of the oviduct, were the shell is made.

Sen never allowed his wives to look at her body and used sex toys to maintain the illusion of being a man

UTTARKHAND — A woman in northern Indian state of Uttarakhand was arrested for posing as a man to marry two women and allegedly tortured one of them for dowry.

Identified as 25-year-old Krishna Sen, who also goes by the name of ‘Sweety Sen’,from Dhampur in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district, allegedly dressed up as a man for four years, duped two women from Uttarakhand’s Nainital district into marrying her and tormented one of them for dowry, police in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani said on Thursday, The Indian Express reported.

Sen created a fake Facebook profile under the name Krishna Sen in 2013 and subsequently posted her photographs in a man’s attire. She used the account to get in touch with women, according to Nainital SSP Janmejay Khanduri.

She first married a woman telling her she was the ‘son’ of CFL bulb businessman from Aligarh.

In 2014, Sen and her family members travelled to Kathgodam in Uttarakhand to meet a 22-year-old woman he got to know on Facebook. “Sen had convinced her that she was a man,” Khanduri said.

Sen then in 2016, married a 20-year-old woman from Nainital district’s Kaladhungi area and moved to Hardwar with her, police said.

Sen never allowed the two women to look at her body and used sex toys to maintain the illusion of being a male, police said.

In October 2017, Sen’s first wife lodged a complaint against Sen in Kathgodam police station under charges of dowry and domestic violence alleging that Sen had taken Rs 8.5 lakh from her family, saying that she needed the money for a factory she owned in Hardwar, police said.

Sen told the police during interrogation that she has been a tomboy since childhood. The woman also cut her hair to look like a man and used to drive a motorcycle and smoke cigarettes.

A medically examination has proved she is a woman.
