Chand Maoist torch Ncell towers in different places

KATHMANDU — Cadres of Netra Bikram Chand-led Maoist torched Ncell towers in Lamjung on Saturday.

As some leaflets, published apparently by the party, were recovered from some incident sites, police suspected that the party made the multiple attacks on the telecom company.

According to the Nepal Police Headquarters daily news release , towers in Shivasatakshi-2 of Jhapa, Kubhinde Daha-9 of Salyan, Laxmipur-1 of Dang; Ashrang-7 of Gorkha; Hiletaksar of Lamjung and Yangsila-8 of Morang were set on fire.

Owing responsibility to the incident, student leader Sujan Adhikari said they would continue their nationwide campaign against private companies making government services more problematic.

Equipment worth thousands of rupees was destroyed in the incidents, according to police.

Mid-Hill highway opens door of prosperity: Minister Adhikari





GALKOT- Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari has said that the Mid-Hill highway had opened the door of prosperity.

He added that the highway was easing the transportation service of the hilly people.

Inaugurating the Badigad Festival and Nwagi Fair-2075 BS here in Baglung district on Saturday, Minister Adhikari stressed on preserving and promoting the domestic cultures to strengthen the nationality and create harmony among the people.

The festival organizer committee coordinator Tika Paija shared that the festival was organized to preserve domestic culture and promote local tourism.
The festival will run until November 25.
