The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Monday sacked three nonconformist VPs and another member filling the vacant position of late Lalit Krishna Shrestha, who was a senior VP.
The board meeting of ANFA decided to suspend Vice-presidents Karma Chhiring Sherpa, Bijay Narayan Manandhar and Kishor Rai and Member Pankaj Nembang from the official board.
“The four officials were asked to submit clarification within 35 days after they were not present in three consecutive executive committee meetings without notification,” said the ANFA in a press release. “Neither their clarification was acceptable nor they did that on time,” added the release. “So the ANFA meeting decided to suspend them until next general assembly.”
Disclosing the decisions of ANFA executive committee at its office in Satdobato, Monday, ANFA General Secretary Dhirendra Pradhan read the decision stating that Narendra Shrestha was nominated senior VP in the vacant position of late Lalit Krishna Shrestha.
The meeting also promoted assistant General Secretaries Mani Kunwar and Bir Bahadur Khadka and Eastern Regional President Santosh Baniya as the vice-presidents.Follow @gorkhapost
