RATNAGAR, CHITWAN — Chitwan police have arrested five persons along with 22,786 US dollars.
Head of Chitwan Police, Basanta Nahadur Kunwar, said that police arrested them alongside the US dollar in course of checking in Chitwan while they were heading towards Kakadvitta from Kathmandu.
The arrested are Nabin Lama, 28, of Babiyachour-5, Sher Bahadur Roka, 28, of Arman VDC-5,Badal Jugjali, 20, of Bima VDC, Manoj Buda, 22, and Manoj Bhandari, 33, of Okharbot VDC of Myagdi district, said Kunwar.
They were arrested as they did not have any document.
They, arrested on June 9, have been sent to Department of Revenue Investigation, Hariharbhawan in Kathmandu for further investigation.
PM congratulates Nepali national cricket team
KATHMANDU— Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated Nepali national cricket team for being able to clinch the International T20 series.
PM Oli in a tweet extended best wishes and congratulations saying he was very happy to know Nepal’s win over the UAE by 14 runs in the third match of the series.
Winning T20 series is another landmark success for Nepali cricket, he said, adding, “It is big achievement for Nepal’s cricket. I would like to heartily congratulate entire members of Nepali cricket squad”.
