PALPA — Two children have gone missing in Kali Gandaki River near Hungi of Rambha Rural Municipality-1 in Palpa district.
Police said that they were missing from Monday afternoon while swimming.
Information Officer of District Police Office, Palpa, Binod Ghimire said that five-year-old Saroj Rana and four-year-old Abiral Pun of Hungi village are missing in the river.
The issue came to notice only after their friend informed the locals about the incident.

Man held for raping own teenage daughter
KANCHANPUR — Police here have arrrested a man for allegedly rapin his own her daughter at Banka in Krishnapur Municipality-2 of Kanchanpur district on Tuesday.
The man raped his 14-year-old daughter while she was sleeping in her room, police said. There was no one in the house when the incident occurred.
The incident come to light after the victim lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Jhalari, saying that she was raped by her father when her mother was not in the house, Inspector Mohan Saud said.
Based on the complaint, police arrested the victim’s father.
“A rape case has been filed against the man and investigating into the incident,” Inspector Saud said.
He said that the victim has been kept at the safe house of the Jhalari-based Community Service Centre.
Five children have been raped during a period of two months in the district.
Earlier, in the first week of March, a girl was raped while she was going to school in Khalla Dhaiya of Krishnapur Municipality-4.
A youth of the same village raped her by taking her to a community forest. She was found unconscious later.
A week after the incident, a four-year-old child was raped in Punarbas Municipality-4. According to police, she was raped by her neighbor.
Then, in the second week of April, two children aged nine and 10 were raped by their neighbour in Bhimdutta Municipality-10. A youth of the same village raped them by luring with money.Follow @gorkhapost
