RATNANAGAR — At least 19 persons were injured after the bus they were travelling on rammed into a truck from behind in Tikauli jungle area between Ratnanagar and Bharatpur Municipalities of Chitwan on Monday.
The incident occurred when the speeding bus (Ga 1 Kha 5064) en route from Bharatpur to Tandi rear-ended the truck (Na 5 Kha 1012) heading towards the same direction in the jungle area, police said.
The injured including the bus driver were rushed to the Chitwan Medical College where they have been undergoing treatment, informed police.
However, four of the injured are in serious condition, according to District Police Office, Chitwan. Police have detained the truck driver for further investigation, said police.Follow @gorkhapost
Advance booking open for Dashin
Kathmandu—Finally, Federation of Nepalese National transportation Entrepreneurs Association agrees to open pre-booking for Dashin after the government decided to increase public transport fares by 10 percent.
The federation was demanding to unfreeze their bank accounts and adjust the fares in view of rising fuel prices.
On Saturday after the agreement between the government and federation, the transportation entrepreneurs opened advance booking. Most of the counters set up banners announcing pre-booking for Dashin and many people were in que to book the ticket in advance.Follow @gorkhapost
