RAJBIRAJ — A cyclist died while three others were wounded in a road mishap that occurred along the East-West highway at Kanchanpur municipality-11 of Saptari this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Bijal Sada,35, of Portaha-8 in the district. He was cycling on the highway when he was hit by a motorcycle (Ba. 54 Pa. 6143) heading towards the east, according to the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur.
Debu Sada,20, who was pillion riding the cycle was injured. Also injured were motorcyclist Sujan Limbu,20, of Sanischare-3, Jhapa and Sapan Miya who was pillion riding the motorcycle, said police inspector Gaurav Mahat.
The injured are undergoing treatment the Dharmeswa hospital in Theliya of Saptari.
PM congratulates Nepali national cricket team
KATHMANDU— Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated Nepali national cricket team for being able to clinch the International T20 series.
PM Oli in a tweet extended best wishes and congratulations saying he was very happy to know Nepal’s win over the UAE by 14 runs in the third match of the series.
Winning T20 series is another landmark success for Nepali cricket, he said, adding, “It is big achievement for Nepal’s cricket. I would like to heartily congratulate entire members of Nepali cricket squad”.
